Getting Started

Money Board Plus tracks money through manual entries. Add a transaction, mark it as income or an expense, enter the amount, and choose a category — your totals and budgets update instantly. There are no bank connections, so you control exactly what is recorded.

Set a monthly budget for any spending category. As you add expenses, Money Board Plus shows how much of each budget you have used and warns you as you approach or pass the limit. Budgets are fixed per month and do not roll over.

Create a goal with a target amount, then log contributions whenever you set money aside. The goal shows your progress toward the target, and you can add a goal widget to your board to keep it in sight.

Yes. The board is the app's home screen and is fully customizable — add, remove, and rearrange widgets such as spend-vs-budget rings, month-to-date cash flow, spending by category, top categories, recent transactions, and quick-add, so the information you care about is front and center.

Privacy & Billing

On your iPhone, and in your own private iCloud. There is no account to create and no server of ours involved — sync runs through the Apple Account already signed in on your iPhone, into a private database that only your devices use and that we cannot see. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Yes. If you are signed in to iCloud, your transactions, categories, budgets, savings goals, and board layout appear on every iPhone signed in to the same Apple Account, usually within a moment or two of a change. Settings such as base currency, Hide Balances, App Lock, and notifications are per-device, so set those once on each iPhone.

Sync follows your iCloud settings, so there is no switch inside the app. Turn Money Board Plus off under your Apple Account in iOS Settings, or sign out of iCloud, and the app carries on with the data already on your iPhone. Turning sync off does not delete what is already in iCloud — if you want that gone, erase your data first, while sync is still on.

Yes. Sign in to the same Apple Account on the new iPhone and install Money Board Plus — your transactions, budgets, savings goals, and board layout arrive from iCloud on their own, so give it a moment on first launch. Restoring the new iPhone from a backup of the old one also works. Per-device settings such as base currency and App Lock are not carried across; there is no file export.

Open Settings and turn on App Lock. When it is on, Money Board Plus asks for Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode before opening, so your finances stay private. The check is handled entirely by iOS.

Turn on Hide Balances to redact every amount on screen — handy when budgeting in public. Your numbers stay hidden until you turn it off.

Open Settings in the app and choose "Erase All Data." It removes every transaction, budget, savings goal, category, and your board layout from this iPhone straight away, and clears the copy in iCloud on the next sync — so do it while you are signed in to iCloud and online. Deleting the app removes only what is on that iPhone; the iCloud copy stays until you erase it from inside the app.

Yes, it is currently free with no in-app purchases. If paid features are added later, you will always see the price and terms before buying, and purchases go through your Apple Account.
